JOB TITLE: Tire Rack Street Survival Coordinator

DEPARTMENT: Rally/Solo

DIVISION: Corporate

Job Summary:

Position is responsible for coordination of the Tire Rack Street Survival (TRSS) program with SCCA Regions, SCCA Foundation, and BMW Foundation. This position is responsible for ensuring all scheduled schools have the materials and information they need to be successful. Will help develop strategies, goals, and action plans in support of the Club’s objectives.

This position is a part-time independent contractor role managed through the SCCA staff. The individual does not need to be in Topeka. The exact time commitment may vary based on the time of the year. There is a monthly stipend, an allowance for certain expenses, and a bonus structure based on the total number of SCCA-hosted schools, bringing in new Regions, and so forth.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Primary responsibility is to attract SCCA Regions to participate in the TRSS program. Work with region leadership on benefits to community, the Region, and the students on hosting a successful school
  • Prepare reports and documentation on program progress. Present materials to club leadership as requested. Attend events where SCCA Region leaders gather to encourage participation in the TRSS program. This includes SCCA National Convention and SCCA Divisional meetings.
  • Manage responses to inquiries from members and officials regarding processes/procedures, program development efforts, and general operational questions/concerns.
  • Work with SCCA staff to ensure that current inventory of materials is up to date.
  • Facilitate the development of trained personnel to assist Regions in hosting TRSS events (for example, classroom instructors).
  • Performs other related duties as required

    Experience and Training:

    • Minimum Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree or an Associate's degree with 3 years of SCCA operational experience

    • Extensive knowledge of Word, Excel, and internet browser software is required

    • A working knowledge of Access and desktop publishing is required

    • Familiarity with the SCCA, the SCCA Rally/Solo programs, or similar motorsports experience is highly desirable.

      Reporting Relationships:

      • This Position Reports to: Director of Solo

        Environmental Requirements:

        • Work is mostly conducted in an indoor business environment. Some exposure to unfavorable conditions may be encountered during travel for business requirements to competition venues across the country.

        Physical Requirements:

        • Requires walking 15% of the time, standing 25% and sitting 60% of the time
        • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull 25 pounds on a daily basis
        • Conditions may require work in low and bright light; use of near and far vision acuity; use of depth perception, color sensitivity, and a field of vision (peripheral vision)

        Other Requirements:

        • Ability to understand verbal information and instruction. Ability to exchange information with others and to develop and present recommendations.
        • Ability to participate in routine, as well as high level conversations.
        • Ability to read and understand complex written information. Ability to compose information and instruction in written form.
        • Ability to translate verbal communication into effective written material; reports and other documents.
        • Ability to use mathematical reasoning is necessary to carry out the requirements

        • Possible travel to competition venues across the United States (4-6 times per year).

        JOB TITLE: Multi-Channel Marketing Manager

        Job SummaryThe Multi-Channel Marketing position at SCCA is one of flexibility, depending on the candidate’s experience and skillsets. In general, this position helps structure and support an integrated set of digital, multi-channel marketing functions to respond to the organization’s needs rapidly and efficiently. From working with internal stakeholders to identify and produce needed print materials to working with new drip marketing capabilities, this position will work hand-in-hand with the Director of Marketing & Communications to meet the evolving marketing needs of SCCA.

        Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

        In collaboration with the Director of Marketing and Communications, this candidate will manage the multi-channel marketing efforts of the SCCA. Dependent on applicant skillset, this could include but is not limited to the following responsibilities.

        • Develop a strategy and publish engaging Facebook and Instagram posts on a scheduled basis
        • Work in collaboration with the Membership and Marketing teams to setup, maintain and measure results of marketing drip campaigns in Higher Logic
        • Maintain company websites, ensuring information is up to date, consistent, accurate and appropriate, and assist with restructuring and redesign project if/when applicable
        • Assist with promotional and advertising video production, both on the ground at events and through post-production collaboration
        • Plan and execute initiatives to reach the target audience through appropriate channels (social media, e-mail, new channels, etc.)
        • Make recommendations for the distribution and creation of collateral materials with the intention of increasing membership and brand awareness among target members.
        • Collaborate with team members to optimize marketing automation and lead-nurturing processes through email, content, events, and social channels
        • Assist with print production execution, working with online and brick-and-mortar printers, depending on the project
        • Work with marketing and other teammates to coordinate marketing efforts across all SCCA programs and departments
        • Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor offerings and demographic data
        • Assist in analyzing marketing data (SEO research, campaign results, conversion rates, traffic etc.) to help shape future marketing strategies
        • Create, maintain, and distribute monthly marketing reports showing achievement of critical metrics regarding lead generation, content creation, website traffic, and other KPIs
        • Additional responsibilities and roles will be assessed and established depending on the candidate’s skillset and experience. These could include but are not limited to graphic design, animation, project management, light HTML/CSS coding, photo editing, etc.

        Additional tasks:

        • Travel to events, including all Championship events, to support content development
        • Perform special assignments and other duties as identified and/or assigned

        Experience and Training:

        • Bachelor’s in marketing, communications or related field
        • 3+ years marketing (digital/traditional) experience required, 5+ preferred

        Competencies Required:

        • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
        • Ability to think big while executing day to day responsibilities
        • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint and Word), Adobe Creative Suite, content management and customer relationship management software, Redbooth or comparable project management platform, and Zoom virtual conferencing.
        • Working technical knowledge of HTML, CSS and web publishing
        • Excellent verbal and written communications skills required—must be able to adapt communication style to suit different audiences.
        • Excellent English writing and editing skills with great attention to detail
        • Familiarity with SEO practices, web traffic metrics and social media
        • Excellent organizational and time-management skills in fast-paced environment
        • Team oriented and able to work under the direction of the Manager
        • Strong time management skills
        • Demonstrable experience in marketing data analytics and tools

            Travel Requirements:

            This position requires some travel to events, meeting and training opportunities. Candidates should expect to spend 10-15% of their time traveling.

            Environmental Requirements:

            Work is conducted in an indoor business environment.  Some exposure to unfavorable conditions may be encountered during travel for business requirements to race facilities across the United States.
